Education Support Professionals

2009 - 2010 VCEA Executive Board

The VCEA Executive Board held its annual Retreat during Labor Day weekend. The team met at La Casa de Maria for a few days to evaluate and plan the upcoming year. Many ideas were presented and suggested. We had discussions and set goals. We also had time to really know one another. Kim Mina, CTA Contact Staff, was our presenter and guided us in ways we could achieve our goals. The main objective seemed to be communication. VCEA's Executive Board will be working hard to keep all members informed. Last year VCEA President, Teri Roots, created an "adopt-a-site", where the Directors were asked to select sites in the District and be the liaison between the Site Reps and the Executive Board. It is really important to keep our communication open with everyone. The Directors you voted to represent you will be working hard to maintain the communication between the association and it's members.

In 1866 educators' voices resounded in Sacramento and were heard, resulting in the establishment of free public education for children in California.
